15's Go 4-0, Hot leading into E9 Playoffs

The 15U boys had themselves a weekend in Marlborough for the Beantown classic, and then capped it off with a shootout win versus a talented 95 Giants team. Leading the charge was Malik Oliva with 3-5-8 in 4 games.

The 15U boys opened up with Atlantic Coast Academy. They cruised to a 5-0 victory outshooting their opponent 45-8 in the process. Jayden Evans led the way with 2 goals. Malik Oliva had a goal and an assist. Connor Long and Caylor Bullard picked up 2 assists. Easton Larson and Caden Grestini added the other goals. Britton Bethard, Baylor Berg, and Elias Schutt all had an assist. Logan Heideman was perfect in net and picked up the shutout.

Friday afternoon the boys took on Biggby Hockey Club. BHA came out slow, giving up 2 breakaway goals in the opening minutes. After that it was all BHA. Four straight BHA goals gave them a 4-2 lead late in the game. It was a big game for our Alaskan boys as they scored all 5 goals in the 5-3 Win. Schutt got the first one assisted by Caden Grestini.  Then it was 2 consecutive goals by Bethard with assists. by Bullard, Larson x2, and Long. Baylor Berg was up next for the Alaskans  which was assisted by Camden Briggs and Oliva. Finally, Grant Barksdale put the icing on the cake from Oliva and Berg. Evan Grant picked up the win in goal for BHA.

Game 3 for BHA and their final game at Beantown was against the PAL Jr Islanders. The 15U boys came out fast with Oliva scoring on the power play from Briggs and Long. After the Oliva goal, BHA continue to press but were unable to extend their lead. A fluke goal by PAL where they dumped in the puck and it deflected off a stanchion led to PAL's equalizing goal. With the game tied at 1 late in the 2nd half, Connor Long jumped on a loose puck and made a slick move to give the 15's the lead.  Jayden Evans then. scored on the next shift from Bullard and Berg to extend the lead to 3-1.  PAL got one back with about 15 seconds left in the game but it was too little too late. Heideman picked up the win and his 2nd win against PAL this season.

Spooky Sunday lived up to its name, as the 16U and 18U teams came out to support their younger peers. With everyone in Halloween costumes, including Director Nate Bostic, it made for quite an environment. The ruckus crowd fed the team energy, and the result proved that it could have been the difference. It was a tight game throughout and neither team would give an inch. BHA came back from a two goal deficit and the game eventually was sent to a shootout. Evan Grant made 3 massive saves and Baylor Berg finished it off with a great move that sent the fan section into a frenzy.
